to connect the Self Care Oasis community, not just as a one-to-many voice. I&#8217;ve wanted to create a safe, grounded space to show up and invite you in.</p><p>As an introvert, this isn&#8217;t the easiest thing to do, but I love connecting with people, hearing their stories, and holding space when it&#8217;s needed. I suspect many of you are introverts too. You desire community, but in a contained way. The articles and podcasts help, but sometimes you want to ask questions and get real feedback. They&#8217;re the:</p><ul><li><p>Meeting you said yes to when your body screamed no</p></li><li><p>Relationship where you&#8217;re constantly explaining your worth</p></li><li><p>Project you&#8217;re overdelivering on while your own dreams wait</p></li><li><p>Scroll sessions that numb instead of nourish</p></li><li><p>&#8220;Just this once&#8221; exceptions to boundaries you&#8217;ve set</p></li></ul><p>These micro-betrayals of self add up. And your body is keeping score.</p><h2>The 15-Minute Self-Devotion Energy Audit</h2><p>This isn&#8217;t another wellness worksheet. This is an act of devotion to yourself&#8212;a practice of seeing where you&#8217;ve been leaking power and consciously choosing to redirect it back to you.</p><p><strong>Set your space.</strong> Make this luxurious. Light a candle. Pour your favorite beverage into your prettiest cup. Put your phone on airplane mode. This isn&#8217;t self-care&#8212;this is self-<em>devotion</em>.</p><p><strong>Grab your journal</strong> and work through these prompts:</p><h2>Part 1: The Energy Inventory (5 minutes)</h2><p><em>In the past week, where did my energy go?</em></p><p>List everything&#8212;work projects, relationships, household tasks, worry spirals, social obligations. Don&#8217;t judge. Just document.</p><p>Now circle the items that energized you. Star the ones that drained you.</p><h2>Part 2: The Devotion Gap (5 minutes)</h2><p><em>Where did I betray myself this week?</em></p><p>This is the hard one. This is data, not evidence of your failure.</p><h2>Part 3: The Reclamation Plan (5 minutes)</h2><p><em>What&#8217;s one energy leak I can seal this week?</em></p><p>Choose ONE. Not ten. One realistic, specific action that redirects energy back to you:</p><ul><li><p>&#8220;I will leave the office by 6pm on Tuesday and Wednesday&#8221;</p></li><li><p>&#8220;I will unfollow three Here are 10 more ways to practice self care beyond massages and mimosas. I created this list because it&#8217;s important to highlight the difference between pampering yourself for temporary release of chronic stress versus creating habits that will change your life. Part 1 is here in case you haven&#8217;t read it yet.</p><h3>11. Take a Trip to the Beach/ Mountains</h3><p>Get away from the hustle and bustle by escaping to the beach or mountains. Your nervous system will thank you! <strong>A simple Google search for &#8220;beaches near me&#8221; or &#8220;mountain cabin near me&#8221; will give you amazing options</strong> to choose from. Pack snacks and a bag for a road trip if it&#8217;s near you or plan a trip for a future date to your favorite location.</p><h3>12. Sit and Stare at the ocean, lake, stream, or a&nbsp;fountain</h3><p>It&#8217;s not exactly an extreme water sport but your mood will definitely be affected when you sit by water. <strong>This is a great practice to naturally relieve stress.</strong> It&#8217;s like all your worries just melt away. Take a journal and pen to write your thoughts down for even more impact.</p><h3>13. Tour a new city with a&nbsp;guide</h3><p>Get to know your city or a new city with a tour guide. It can be a walking, biking, Segway, bus, or trolley tour. The guide will show you the hidden gems and best historical places. Eat a great meal afterwards.</p><h3><strong>14. Daily gratitude &amp; affirmations</strong></h3><p>Finding something to be grateful for each day keeps you in the space of abundance. Make this a daily practice. Positive affirmations transform your life from mundane and stressful to happy and successful. Schedule&nbsp;Massages</h3><p>Schedule a series of massages to get the physical contact and healing you need on a regular basis. You get the benefit of human touch, lymphatic drainage, and soothing sore muscles. <strong>Use the time to let go</strong> and even fall asleep. This is a time to escape responsibility for a while and be pampered.</p><h3>16. Bodywork/ Reiki/ Acupuncture</h3><p>Having body work done is a higher level of experience than massage. You will learn where your internal emotional blocks are and can have them released so you function better. Practice Grounding yourself (bare feet in the&nbsp;grass)</h3><p>Because we are energy and have electricity keeping our hearts going it is good to take your shoes off and walk in the grass or on the ground. Here is an <strong><a href="https://chopra.com/articles/grounding-the-human-body-the-healing-benefits-of-earthing">article about the importance of grounding </a></strong>for your emotional and physical health.</p><h3><strong>18. Get a&nbsp;Facial</strong></h3><p>Getting a facial is one of the most relaxing experiences you can have on top of the physical benefits. Schedule a facial at an esthetician&#8217;s office or an <strong><a href="https://nceacertified.org/ncea-national-esthetician-association-school-members/">esthetician school</a> </strong>(cheaper option) and just let yourself be taken away. Don&#8217;t be surprised if you fall asleep.</p><h3>19. Reading</h3><p>You can escape into a different world and not realize so much time has passed with a good book. Audiobooks are also a great option when you are doing mindless activities like road trips or simply washing the dishes. Get carried away in a good story. Check out Amazon, <strong><a href="https://amzn.to/3AM8ZMF">Audible</a></strong>, and <strong><a href="https://www.scribd.com/">Scribd</a></strong> for interesting titles.</p><h3>20. Journaling</h3><p>It&#8217;s not exactly reading but journaling has a different effect on you. With pen to paper journaling gives you the power to change your circumstances. You can do a brain dump to clear your mind of your problems and concerns. It&#8217;s a great place to jot your next brilliant idea.</p><p>Journaling is basically a paper therapist you can go to share all your secrets, work out your problems and validate future plans. Say &#8220;No&#8221; more&nbsp;often</h3><p>If your typical response to a request is Yes and you find yourself overwhelmed and burned out because you are stretched too then, it&#8217;s time to start saying No more often. Say &#8220;Yes&#8221; to what lights you&nbsp;up</h3><p>Yesterday it was about saying, No. Today it&#8217;s about saying Yes to all the things that light you up. A few years ago Shonda Rimes wrote the book,<a href="https://amzn.to/3ABjWR3"> </a><strong><a href="https://amzn.to/3ABjWR3">Year of Yes</a></strong>. I think that is a good model to go by if you want to experience a fuller life on your terms.</p><p>When you get into the habit of saying Yes to only the things that make you feel fantastic you are empowering yourself to live life fully and authentically.</p><h3>3. Take Napping/ Resting seriously</h3><p>A 10-min, 30-min, or 1-hr nap could make all the difference in your day. Schedule it regularly.</p><p><strong>How to take a nap:</strong></p><p>Step 1&#8202;&#8212;&#8202;Find a quiet comfortable place to rest</p><p>Step 2&#8202;&#8212;&#8202;Put phone on Do Not Disturb</p><p>Step 3&#8202;&#8212;&#8202;Set a timer or alarm on your device</p><p>Step 4&#8202;&#8212;&#8202;Take 3&#8211;5 deep breaths</p><p>Step 5&#8202;&#8212;&#8202;Close your eyes</p><p>Congratulations! Eat Wonderful meals</h3><p>Make eating healthy, wonderful meals a daily part of your life. Sitting down to a delicious meal you made or ordered just makes the day 10x better wouldn&#8217;t you agree? Services like Hello Fresh, <a href="https://drd.sh/lz2fqB2pRpK1AEH1">Door Dash</a>, and Uber Eats make eating great meals possible.</p><h3>5. Stroll (walk) outside/ in the&nbsp;park</h3><p>Nothing changes your perspective like taking. Stroll in the park or simply walk around your backyard or neighborhood. Take a walk daily if possible for the mental, emotional, and physical benefits.</p><h3>6. Explore new&nbsp;places</h3><p>Exploring new places gives you a different perspective on life. The side benefit is that it can be relaxing and helps get your mind off daily obligations or frustrations. Use your lunch break, after work, or the weekend to go explore your neighborhood, city, or region.</p><h3>7. Learn something fun and fascinating</h3><p>Learning something new and fascinating opens new doors in this life experience. If you are not learning you become stale and stagnant. That does not honor your self-care practice.</p><p>There are millions of YouTube videos, books, <a href="https://amzn.to/3cMElLc">classes</a>, and the entire Internet to learn something new. Carve out time daily or weekly to learn something new.</p><p>Find a class that lets you be creative, move your body, or expand your mind. It could lead to new connections and much more! <strong><a href="https://www.skillshare.com/r/user/samanthagregory?gr_tch_ref=on&amp;gr_trp=on">Skillshare</a></strong> is a great place to learn new things that will expand your life and honor yourself.</p><h3>8. Brunch with&nbsp;Friends</h3><p>Go out to weekend brunches at least quarterly. This is a great way to catch up and eat great food in a relaxing environment. The laughs alone should keep you in good spirits for days.</p><p>Brunch can be at your favorite restaurant or at your home. Ask everyone to bring their best dish if it&#8217;s a home brunch. Enjoy and make new memories.</p><h3>9. Listening to&nbsp;music</h3><p>Good music is healing for the soul. It&#8217;s my main go-to for calming my stress, motivating me to move, and getting me focused.
